Stitch Each Day Challenge Chart
My blogiversary is coming up on March 3 so I've decided to have two drawings to celebrate. One will be easy - leaving a comment on my blog between now and March 1st will earn an entry in the doorprize giveaway. The more you comment, the more chances to win. The second drawing is harder but the reward will be bigger. Is it better to know what the prizes will be or is it more fun to be surprised? (Here's a chance to leave a comment and help me decide.) Today's free chart is a challenge chart - stitch it up, get creative - add beads, buttons, charms, specialty stitches and threads, change colors, etc., etc. What will you do with it? Stitching tote? Pinkeep? Doorhanger? Notebook cover? Flatfold? Framed? The possibilities are endless and I love seeing how stitchers take a design and make it their own. Everyone that sends me a photo of their finished project will receive a small prize for participating and be entered in the 2nd drawing for the Grand Prize. All entries must be received by March 1st, 2016. The drawing winners will be announced on March 3rd, 2016.

Friendship Heart Photos From Brenda

Brenda from London sent photos of the Friendship Heart that she stitched and finished. Isn't it beautiful?! I love the pink fabric, pearls and ribbon! And if you look closely at the photo of the front you can see pink and green crystal bicone beads at the top! Thanks for Stitching and Sharing, Brenda!

New Friendship Heart Scissors Fob
Here is the smaller version of yesterday's chart - this one should work better for a scissor fob or floss tag.

Friendship Heart
It's time I got back to posting some charts! To start off, I am posting an old chart - one from way back. It is very simple but I always liked it. A little large for a scissor fob but maybe okay for an ornament or sachet. I'll have to size it down for a fob, hmmmm....maybe I'll get that done later today.

Small Scissors Fobs Mix & Match
.jpg)
Here is an example of numerous versions of one chart and not being able to decide which I like best...... so, mix them up and use the ones you like best. Different color combinations will change them as well, so each fob will be unique! I've included the alphabet I made to go with it so any initials should work for the fob back. I designed these when I was making the scissors fob for Carol R's HoE Freebie Exchange. If you like the chart and want to send a photo of the finished fob, I would love to see it and post it here.

New Charts - Small Scissors Crosspatch
Now that Carol has received her exchanges from me I can post the charts I used. The first one is the Small Scissors Crosspatch which features the word scissors in seven languages - you might like to highlight one language of your choice by stitching it in red (or another color) as I did for Carol's box. I added the personalization on the side to fit the boxtop I was covering. I have included a chart with backstitched scissors in case you can't find scissor charms to use - they are, of course, optional and can easily be left off.

My Stitching Friend Double Heart Design

The design is charted for regular DMC floss - use whatever colors you like - but it would be a really quick stitch with overdyes. Buttons or charms could easily dress it up a bit.

Small Heart with Hummer Scissor Fob

Allergies, baseball and taxes - what do they have in common? They have all combined to keep me distracted from posting on my blog! A whole week has crept by! I have been doing some charting and have a couple of charts to post, although I haven't stitched them up yet. The one I'm posting today is the one I'm planning to stitch up tonight when I get home. Maybe I'll get a chance to get it and the baseball flat-fold easel completely done and photographed by Sunday.

| Where Stitchers Meet pdf This chart is an updated version of one I designed several years ago for my friends at cross stitch camp. It should fit nicely in one of the Tuck Pillows for a fast finish. |

Kortney's Hearts Part 1
For larger view, click image. These hearts were designed to show support for a co-worker diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2005. She is now cancer free but it was a rough ride. Several ladies in the office stitched up a bunch of them for family and friends to wear during that time. I designed them for fabric, but we decided to stitch them on white perforated plastic for quicker assembly as pins since we were making lots of them. That called for a different "G" than the original design, so I have added the adaptation for it to the chart. Other names can easily be substituted for your own use.
